This week, we're diving into the legendary Climies Track - a challenging journey through Tasmania's rugged west coast that combines historic mining routes with spectacular coastal views.

Track Overview


Location: Western Tasmania

Length: 16km one-way

Duration: 4-5 hours

Difficulty: Moderate to Advanced

Best Season: Summer to early Autumn


Finding Your Way There


From Hobart (4-hour journey):

  1. Take Brooker Highway (A10) north

  2. Follow Midland Highway (1) to Melton Mowbray

  3. Take B11 through Bronte Park to Derwent Bridge

  4. Follow Lyell Highway (A10) to Queenstown

  5. Take A10 to Zeehan

  6. From Zeehan, follow Henty Road toward Trial Harbour

Pro Tip: Start early to make the most of daylight hours and the best photography conditions.
