New vehicles must be fitted prior to first registration for Second Stage Manufacture/Federal Compliance Plate Approval its best to speak to us and your dealer before organising this as the dealer will often want this complete before delivery.

 

Vehicles which are already registered can be fitted with a GVM kit under individual State or Territory Compliance - in Tasmania that means a engineering certificate and modification plate is required and we organise this at TJP Auto & 4x4 as part of fitting the kit.

Only Lovells Automotive Systems Authorised fitters are approved to fit the GVM kit and Lovells endorsed engineering signatories are approved to inspect State Compliance modified vehicles TJP Auto & 4x4 is both.

When fitting a Lovells GVM kit to these vehicles, the vehicle must have the following minimum

Tyre Load Index and Speed Rating to remain compliant:

- 3560kg GVM Upgrade:  Tyre Load index "112", Speed Rating "R".

- 3800kg GVM Upgrade:  Tyre Load index "112", Speed Rating "R".

- 4200kg GVM Upgrade:  Tyre Load index "116", Speed Rating "R".

State Compliance - Post Registration

Vehicles which are already registered cannot be fitted under federal approval. In Tasmania TJP Auto & 4x4 can offer State compliance for vehicles already registered in accordance to State Legislation and approved by a Lovells endorsed engineering signatory.

The Lovells GVM upgrade kit has been approved by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications and will help to keep your vehicle legal.
